Socii, Latin for Partner, seeks to “partner” farmers to better their farming practices.

Socii was formed in 2013 by two colleagues who decided to chuck their corporate suits for the entrepreneurial grind. Their desire for being connected to the earth brought them in touch with farmers with a passion for farming despite all odds. As they phrase goes

“Mein akela hi chala tha, Janib- e-manzil,
Log saath aate gaye aur karwan banata gaya”

We actively engage with the farmers and associated community to meet their aspirational goals. We work with farmers on the crops that they traditionally grow. We encourage farmers to view farming as a business. We handhold them from developing business plan to implementation and to adopt best practices at every step.

We provide end to end solution comprising

1. crop selection based on various factors including economic viability,
2. land preparation,
3. water conservation,
4. fertiliser and insecticide usage,
5. procurement efficiency,
6. scheduling of labour and equipment,
7. monitoring,
8. harvesting,
9. financing,
10. risk mitigation across every activity,
11. access to information and
12. mostly importantly marketing of their produce at remunerative prices.

We provide farmers with access to experts, tried and tested techniques as well as access to the retail markets both domestic and international markets. Our programmes ensure assured buy back with minimum support price for their produce.

We firmly believe that above all if we invest in relation we will harvest a good produce. We currently operate in Maharashtra and deal in spices, pulses and bananas
